Carmen McNamara
Carmen has been passionate about skin for as long as she can remember. This deep love for skincare led her to study at esteemed institutions, beginning with Beauty School and later graduating from the prestigious Steiner Academy in London. After gaining international experience, she returned to Australia to qualify in Cosmetic Dermal Science, refining her expertise across both cosmetic and medical fields before launching Skin Fairy in Perth. The first clinic opened in January 2015, marking the beginning of a brand dedicated to achieving real, lasting skin transformations.
Over the years, Carmen has earned numerous accolades, including the 2016 International Skin Games in San Francisco, DMK WA Therapist of the Year, and DMK National Clinic of the Year for nine consecutive years, including 2024. She has also been a nominee for the Telstra Business Awards since 2020.
With 19 years of experience in skin therapy, Carmen thrives on the problem-solving aspect of skincare, addressing both external and internal factors that contribute to skin concerns. Now a proud mother of three, her focus on skin health has only deepened, emphasising ingredient quality and safety in skincare.
“One reason I started Skin Fairy was because of my own skin struggles,” Carmen shares. “As we move through different life stages, our skin evolves, from acne to post-pregnancy pigmentation to fine lines and wrinkles. I relate to these changes, and that connection is why our clients feel so at home with us.”
Carmen leads two teams of highly skilled skin therapists across Skin Fairy’s Claremont and Mount Hawthorn locations. As a mentor, she shares her expertise with both new and experienced skin professionals, helping them build the confidence and skills needed to excel in the industry.

Claremont
Nestled in leafy Claremont, Skin Fairy’s flagship clinic is sited in a beautifully renovated period home.
Swathed in crisp white walls and pale grey wood flooring, it’s filled with soft pink couches, mirrors and subtle decorative touches featuring Agatha, our beloved mascot. It encompasses seven treatment rooms, the latest training facilities for new Skin Fairies, and is the first and largest Mummy Clinic (in WA).
Our Stirling Highway location makes it easy for clients across Perth to visit. We also offer free client parking exclusively for your use at the front and back of our premises.
Mount Hawthorn
Skin Fairy clinics are purpose-built and designed to make our clients feel at home.
Our little sister clinic in Mount Hawthorn bears the same sleek, chic and contemporary touches as our Claremont headquarters. Exquisitely scented, it’s filled with florals, elegant finishes and bespoke design detailing. You will adore our rock star powder room and four treatment rooms featuring state-of-the-art technology.
