Carmen has been obsessed with skin for as long as she can remember. This love inspired her to study at esteemed institutions, including finishing Beauty School to graduating from the Steiner Academy in London. After she spent extensive time abroad, she returned and qualified in Cosmetic Dermal Science. Home now in Australia, she focused on honing her skills in the cosmetic and medical fields before launching Skin Fairy in Perth in December 2014, and opening her first clinic in January 2015.
She has received countless accolades and prestigious awards, including the 2016 International Skin Games in San Francisco, DMK WA Therapist of the Year, and DMK National Clinic of the Year for eight consecutive years, including 2023 just gone. Carmen has also been nominated for the Telstra Business Awards since 2020.
Championing skin therapy for over 18 years, she thrives on the problem-solving aspect of skincare, determining the external and internal issues that cause concern. Carmen is now a proud Mother of Three, and her focus on skin is truer now then ever, right down to ingredient quality and safety in skincare.
“One reason I started Skin Fairy was due to the skin problems I experienced over the years,” says Carmen. “As we age and move through different stages of life, our skin changes, from acne to post-pregnancy pigmentation, to lines and wrinkles. I emphasise with anyone struggling with these changes, and it’s one of the reasons our clients feel so comfortable coming here.”

Nestled in leafy Claremont, Skin Fairy’s flagship clinic is sited in a beautifully renovated period home. Swathed in crisp white walls and pale grey wood flooring, it’s filled with soft pink couches, mirrors and subtle decorative touches featuring Agatha, our beloved mascot. It encompasses seven treatment rooms, the latest training facilities for new Skin Fairies, and is the first and largest Mummy Clinic (in WA). Our Stirling Highway location makes it easy for clients across Perth to visit. We also offer free client parking exclusively for your use at the front and back of our premises.
